The Alien Drift
The Alien Drift is about about love, loneliness, and missed signals. A new experimental work by Susi Plotts, this play follows the story of two people stuck in the middle of the desert near Mexico, only having each other apart from the odd visitor that comes through. They begin hearing messages from outer space and build a machine to call the visitor down to them. And then one day, they receive an answer- and a visitor they won’t soon forget.
The Visitor From Outer Space is an eccentric, loud, Chavela Vargas-esque alien who visits them to sing songs of heartbreak and teach them the secret to love and life that they cannot see from where they stand on earth.
