SOPHIA

ARANDA

Sophia Aranda is a first-generation Cuban-Nicaraguan actor and vocalist, equally at home belting Ann Wilson as she is floating a crystal-clear high C. Not your typical girl next door, she may not be the one you ask to borrow a cup of sugar—but she will be there holding your hair back after a night of karaoke. Whip-smart and wickedly funny, Sophia leads in new plays, films, and musicals, moving seamlessly between styles with the same precision and power she brings to the boxing ring.

An Actress, a Singer, a Writer.

An NYU/Tisch Atlantic Theater Company graduate, she received the Outstanding Achievement in Studio award and trained at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art. A former Bats company member at The Flea Theater, her works spans a variety of styles from Shakespeare to new plays and musicals where Sophia has been able to develop characters from the ground up.
